MARY JEROME, 89, ALGONA: passed away Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025, at the Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona. Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Lentz Funeral Home in Algona. Family and friends departed from the funeral home at 10:45 a.m. to process to Lu Verne Township Cemetery in Lu Verne where graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Services have been entrusted to Lentz Funeral Home of Algona.

MARLENE WILHELMI, 83, BANCROFT: died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025, at her home near Bancroft. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 8 at Divine Mercy Parish - St. John's Catholic Church in Bancroft. Thomas (Tom) Wayne Zeigler of Blaine, Minn. was born Aug. 1, 1944, in Algona, the son of Earl and Dorothy (Brown) Zeigler. He grew up in Algona where he attended school, graduating from Algona High School in 1962. Following high school Tom attended Dunwoody Technical Institute in Minneapolis, Minn. earning a degree in auto body.

Due to extremely dangerous travel conditions between the Lakes region and our printer, the Kossuth County Advance will be delivered to residents on Friday of this week, one day later than normal. We encourage everyone to travel safely during this blizzard. The APC office is closed today, and we plan to be closed on Thursday as well as we are moving to a new location at 1308 Hwy 18 E. throughout the day. We will have some limited access to telephone and internet services on Thursday.

DON NETTLETON, ALGONA: Funeral services for Don Nettleton will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Algona, with Pastor Ben Dose officiating.
