Ronald “Ron” James Briggs, 86, of Mountain Home, Ark., passed away peacefully on June 19, 2025. Ron was born on March 4, 1939, in Corwith to Bernard and Henrietta (Wermersen) Briggs. He married Marianne Nurre on Nov. 21, 1959, in Algona. Together, they built a full and beautiful life, raising seven children and sharing over six decades of love and partnership.

Funeral service for Gladys M. Wegener, 92, of Fenton, was held 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fenton with burial at St. John’s Cemetery a quarter mile from where she grew up. The funeral was livestreamed on the church’s Facebook page.
Dennis Dean Demory, the son of Arthur and Phyllis (Sorlien) Demory, was born Nov. 10, 1954, in Fort Dodge. He grew up in Bode and graduated with the class of 1973 from Bode High School.
After high school he worked at Snap-on Tools for 30 plus years. Dennis enjoyed the outdoors. He especially enjoyed golfing, racing and landscaping.
