ALGONA—Pocahontas Area overcame an early 9-0 deficit to rally to squeeze out a wild 13-12, eight-inning non-conference baseball victory over the Algona Bulldogs in a game played on Tuesday, July 1.

The home team started fast with nine runs in the bottom of the first stanza as the biggest blows in the frame were a grand slam home run by Tate Slagle along with a two-run single off the bat of Ryan Weier.
