GARNER—North Union remained in first place in the Top of Iowa Conference softball standings on Friday, June 13 with a 4-0 shutout victory over the Garner-Hayfield/Ventura Cardinals.

The green-black-and-silver scored once in the top of the first inning, plated two more in the second stanza and added a huge insurance run in the top of the fifth frame in the victory.
