DES MOINES—A total of five area softball players were recently selected to the all-district teams in their respective class by the Iowa Girls Softball Coaches Association.

Hanna Merron of Bishop Garrigan along with Ainsley Ulrich and Shallie Walders of North Union were chosen to the Class 1A North Central squad while Algona’s Reagan Haynes and Allison Trunkhill were named to the Class 3A Central all-district team.
