ALGONA—Allison Trunkhill slowed down a powerful Clear Lake offense as the Algona Bulldogs’ softball squad dealt the Lions their first North Central Conference loss 4-1 on Friday, June 13 to tighten things up in the league standings.

Trunkhill was sharp in the chalked circle to earn the win. She gave up one unearned run on just four hits with six strikeouts, walked one and hit one batter.
