Dennis Maxwell “Max” Miller, passed away on Friday, Sept.  2, 2022, at his residence. 

Visitation will be held from 12-2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept.  8, at Lensing’s Oak Hill, 210 Holiday Road in Coralville. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Private interment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Coralville.

Max was born in Algona, on March 31, 1949, to Irving “Pudge” Miller and Roberta (Simpson) Miller.

Russell H. Fisher, 101 of Algona, passed away Monday, Aug. 22, 2022, at the Algona Manor.

Russell was born May 13, 1921, on the family farm in Rodman. Russell attended country school and would help on the family farm. Russell would later farm his own land in Kossuth and Winnebago counties, until his passion for cars would turn into a new lifetime career.

Desiman “DJ” Stone Jr., age 19 of Livermore, passed away Monday, Aug. 22, 2022. Celebration of Life was at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2022, at Old Settlers Park in Livermore. Visitation was Tuesday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Lentz Funeral Home in Livermore. Lentz Funeral Home of Livermore is assisting the family.

Ronald Peck, age 87, of Algona, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2022, at the West Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center in West Bend. Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Algona.  Burial was in East Lawn Cemetery in Algona. Visitation was 4 – 7 p.m. Sunday at Lentz Funeral Home in Algona.

William (Bill) Zaugg, 73 of West Bend died Saturday Aug. 20, 2022, at the West Bend Care Center. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at the Apostolic Christian Fellowship Center. Funeral services will be held at the Apostolic Christian Church in West Bend on Saturday with a visitation at 9 a.m. followed by funeral at 10 a.m. and burial afterwards at the Apostolic Christian cemetery. Lentz Funeral Home is assisting the family.

On Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2022, Thomas Teeter, loving husband and father, passed away at age 76.

Tom was born on Oct. 24, 1945, in Portland, Ore. to Donald and Edna (Nordstrom) Teeter. He graduated from Algona Iowa High School in 1964. Tom served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Topeka, Kan.

Larry Stanley Lenz was born June 2, 1942, in Albert Lea, Minn., the son of Stanley and Idoris (Hanson) Lenz. He grew up on a farm near Conger, Minn. He attended and graduated from Emmons High School in 1960. He went on to study at Iowa State University.

Connie Elbert, age 74 of Burt, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2022, at the Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona. Mass of Christian Burial was at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Divine Mercy Catholic Parish - St. Cecelia in Algona. Visitation was from 4 to 7 p.m.  on Monday at Lentz Funeral Home in Algona.

A funeral Mass was held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug.  15, 2022, at Divine Mercy Parish - St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wesley. Inurnment was held in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Wesley. Visitation was held from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 14, at Oakcrest Funeral Services, Algona and continued one hour prior to the service at the church.
