Jerald Davis, 85, of Center Point, passed away on April 28, 2023. A graveside prayer service will be held in Algona at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 4 at Calvary Cemetery.

Peggy Lou Coulon (Ryan), age 83, passed away on April 6, 2023, in Hood River, Ore.

Her family will lay her to rest in the Ryan family plot in Rocky Ford, Colo.

A memorial will be held in Algona on July 7 at the Water’s Edge Nature Center. Visitation from 4-7 p.m. with a short memorial service at 5 p.m.

A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at the United Methodist Church in Lu Verne with Reverend Olympia Muller officiating. The funeral service was livestreamed on Oakcrest Funeral Services’ Facebook Page. Burial was held in Lu Verne Township Cemetery. Visitation was held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, April 21 at Oakcrest Funeral Services in Lu Verne.

Virgil Wayne Heifner, 86, of Elko New Market, Minn., formerly of rural Buffalo Center, died on April 22, 2023, at the Minneapolis VA Health Care System after a brief illness. In lieu of a funeral service, the family will host a visitation and luncheon following the Sunday, April 30 church service at the Community Chapel in Lakota from approximately 12– 2 p.m.

Heesch, 103, of Willmar, died Friday, April 14 at Copperleaf in Willmar.  His funeral will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 19 at Good Hope Lutheran Church in Titonka with visitation one hour prior to the service. Jean Hansen, was born on May 22, 1959, in Estherville to Lawrence E. and Doreen (Peters) Hansen. She passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at the Algona Manor Care Center at the age of 63.

Jean donated her body to the University of Iowa Medical School to help educate our future medical professionals. A graveside service will be held for Jean when she has completed her teaching assignment.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 21 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, in St. Joe. Services have been entrusted to Lentz Funeral Home of Algona.
