Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 139 3rd Street Southeast in Britt with Fr. Jim Dubert officiating.  Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery outside Britt.

Irene Emily (Berger) Elbert was born on Feb. 14, 1932, in Willey, the daughter of John and Cecilia (Neppel) Berger. She attended school in St. Joe until the eighth-grade. 
On Jan. 18, 1950, Irene married Melvin M. Elbert at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Whittemore. Irene and Melvin were blessed with five children: Diane, Sandi, Terry, Randy and Jeffrey.

Ardith Boyken, age 91, of Algona passed away on Nov. 5, 2017, at the Algona Manor Care Center.  Memorial services will be 11 a.m., Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Algona, with Rev. Eric Hauan officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Algona. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m., until the service time Thursday at the church.

Ledyard - A funeral Mass for Jack Reece will be held 10:30 a.m., on Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ledyard. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Ledyard with military honors conducted.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Thursday at Oakcrest Funeral Services of Bancroft with a rosary beginning at 4 p.m.. Further visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at the church on Friday.

Visitation was held at 9 a.m., until the time of Mass on Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Humboldt. A Rosary was held at 8:45 a.m., at the church prior to the start of visitation on Monday.
