Carol Ann Goetz, 75, Lake Wales, Fla., formerly of Minot, N.D., passed away on Dec. 1, 2017 at the Good Shepherd Hospice located in Auburndale, Fla.  
Carol was born on July 15, 1942 to Lester and Vera Kime in Austin, Minn.  She graduated from Austin High School in 1960 and became one of the youngest part-time employees hired at the G.A. Hormel Co. corporate office/plant in Austin, Minn.

Wayne Vaudt, age 85 of Algona, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017 at the Algona Manor in Algona.  Funeral services were held on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Algona with Rev. Eric Hauan officiating.  Burial took place at Union Cemetery in Livermore.

Geraldine Wolfe, age 85 of Algona, passed away Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Society in Algona. Mass of the Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, Dec. 12 at St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Algona with Rev. Ed Girres and Rev. Mr. Gerald Jorgensen celebrating. Burial took place at Calvary Cemetery in Algona.

HUMBOLDT — Richard “Casey” Thul, 96, of Humboldt, passed away Dec. 5, 2017 at the Humboldt Care Center South.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Humboldt.  Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt with a parish rosary at 5 p.m. Burial with full military rights will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Humboldt.

Charlotte Hillburg, age 90 of Algona, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017 at the Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona.  Visitation was held on Monday at Lentz Funeral Home in Algona.  Burial will take place at a later date at the All Saints Chapel in Kenosha, Wis.

 A funeral service for LaVonne Hansen was held on Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Algona. Burial was at the United Methodist Cemetery in Fenton.
LaVonne Mae Hansen was born Nov. 25, 1927 in Schaller, daughter of Leslie and Julia (Boss) Robinson. In 1936 her family moved to Estherville where she worked at Orlean’s Café for her mother. She had many different jobs throughout her life.

Gary K. Larson, 79, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease.  He remained independent in the care of his wife, Charlotte, until December 2013, when he willingly moved into the Windsor Manor Alzheimer’s Unit in Algona.  He has spent the last three years in the loving care of the West Bend Care Center.

Russell Wallace Kiley joined his Lord and Savior on Nov. 19, 2017, at the age of 86. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017, at 2 p.m., at Grace Church in Algona. Burial took place at East Lawn Cemetery in Algona. The Wesley American Legion conducted military rites. Visitation was held on Friday, Nov. 24, 2017, from 4-6 p.m., at Grace Church in Algona.
