ACES AND EIGHTS

Lynn Lee MacVey made the ultimate journey to party forever with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 27, 2023,  after a brief illness.

Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 30 at the Wolf Ranch in Marshalltown. Lynn’s Celebration Of A Life Well Lived will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Union on Monday, May 1 at 10:30 a.m. Preferred attire is bib overalls.

He will take his last ride to the Union Cemetery with horses of his Percheron breeding, Pleasant View Rose and Bud. A luncheon will follow at the church. Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids is serving the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family is teaming up with the Percheron Horse Association Of America Education And Charitable Fund to create a Legacy Agricultural Scholarship for a student that is/was an FFA member and has a Percheron interest/background. To make a contribution in memory of Lynn make your check payable to PHAoA Education & CharitableFund, c/o Jim Whitford, 7675 Welling Road, St Johns, MI 48879.

“Well, it’s been a hell of a ride for the last 63 years. But I guess it is time to head on down the road and cross that river to the next chapter of my life. Those who I love know and the rest can go to hell,” Lynn MacVey.
