Cynthia “Cindy” Long Loebach, formerly Cindy Welch, died of cancer on July 26, 2022, in Nampa, Idaho. She was at home and surrounded by family when she passed.

Cindy was born Oct. 30, 1948, in Algona. She graduated from Iowa State University and enjoyed a long career as a Medical Technologist. She married Bob Welch in 1971 and they raised two children, Matthew and Elizabeth, before divorcing in 1991.
