Jason P. Hinrichsen, son of Paul and Orlene (Spencer) Hinrichsen, was born in Blue Earth, Minnesota on Aug. 29, 1948. He passed away on Oct. 7, 2024, at Mercy One Hospital in Sioux City at the age of 76. A celebration of his life was held from 10-11 a.m., followed by food and fellowship on Saturday, Oct. 12 at the Swea City Open Bible Church.

Brendan James Ricklefs was born in Algona on Aug. 7, 1980. Brendan led a life of adventure from the time he was born. At the age of three, he rode his bike about 1.5 miles to go see family friends, the Renshaw’s, although he seems to remember it as he rode from the Renshaw’s home.

Myrna Pauline Hinz, 85, of Emporia, Kan. entered eternal rest on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family, having battled bone marrow cancer for the last several years.

She was born on Jan. 29, 1939, in Des Moines to Paul and Fern Northrop. She was raised on a farm in Lu Verne and graduated in 1956.

Ruth (Kuker) Stumme was born Jan. 31, 1933, in Readlyn, daughter of Carl and Clara (Boeckmann) Kuker. She died on Oct. 2, 2024, in Algona at the age of 91.

A funeral Mass for Donna Mae Hilbert will be held Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024, at 10:30 a.m.  at Divine Mercy Parish - St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Algona. Burial will be in St. Benedict Catholic Cemetery. Visitation was from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2 at the Bishop Garrigan Chapel with a C.D. of A. Rosary beginning at 4:45 p.m.  Donna died Saturday, September 28 at Friendship Haven, Fort Dodge, at the age of 89.
