Mrs. Linda Lou Friedrich died peacefully at home on Aug. 9, 2017, in Vincent, at the age of 62.
Linda is survived by her husband, Galen Friedrich; mother, Janelle Kramer-Courtney (Wilbur Courtney); son, Shannon (Nicki) Friedrich; daughter, Tracy Alphs; seven siblings: Sherry (Bill) Jones, Butch (Merri) Kramer, Sandi (Ben) Zuber), Pat (Jerry) Hall, Marcia (Mike) St Jean, Terry Kramer and Joni Clark; five favorite grandchildren: Joseph Friedrich, Justin Alphs, Samantha Alphs, Quincy Friedrich and Piper Friedrich. Linda is preceded in death by her father, Andrew Kramer and brother, Rick Kramer.
Linda was born on Nov. 4. 1954, to Andrew and Janelle Kramer. She graduated from Algona High School in 1973. Linda married her high school sweetheart in 1974, and would welcome two children, Shannon and Tracy, into their lives. The couple set about teaching their children to work hard, and always help others. Shannon and Tracy will remember their mother as teaching them to try new things and to appreciate all people from every walk of life. Galen and Linda would be married 43 years this month. Linda received her degree in construction from Iowa Central Community College, and would go on to manage Hovey Construction in Fort Dodge, a career she loved.
A celebration of her life was held from 4-8 p.m., on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Linda’s wishes will be followed, to include a private small burial, at a later date, with immediate family. All are welcome to attend her celebration. Condolences can be directed to the family.
