ALGONA — Janet Scuffham, age 81 of Algona, passed away Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Society in Algona.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Aug. 14, 2017, at 10:30 a.m., at First United Methodist Church in Algona with Rev. Cynthia Finn officiating. Burial will take place at East Lawn Cemetery in Algona.
Janet Ann Scuffham, the daughter of George and Marie (Lyon) Scuffham, was born on Jan. 28, 1936, in Algona. She graduated from Algona High School in 1954. Janet worked for Snap-On Tools and retired after 46 years of employment. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Janet’s devotion to her family and friends truly admirable. She had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her dogs and horses. Janet enjoyed her time shared with her coffee group at McDonald’s.
Left to cherish Janet’s memory are her niece, Kim Dahlhauser (Jeff Stillman) of Whittemore; nephew, Kevin (Shelley) Scuffham of Storm Lake; sister-in-law, Darlene Scuffham of Algona; great nieces and nephews, Nick, Ethan and Aimee Dahlhauser and Ashley and Josh Scuffham; and her special friends, Vicki Rogers of Algona, the Anderson and Peterson Families of Algona and her beloved dogs, Candi, MissT, Jiggs, LeiC and Heidi.
Her parents, twin brother Jerry in infancy and her brother James Scuffham preceded her in death.
