Patricia Voyles, 86, of Algona, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016, at Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona. Memorial services were held on Friday, Sept. 23, at the First United Methodist Church in Algona.
Patricia Rose Phillips, the daughter of Roger Baily and Blanche Mae (Barwick) Phillips, was born on Feb. 10, 1930, in Ottumwa. She graduated from Algona High School in 1947.
On Feb. 8, 1948, Patricia married Rex Bert Voyles at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. She had worked as a manager at Montgomery Ward in Algona, retiring in 1985. Patricia was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Joy Club, Bridge Club and Sewing Club. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Left to cherish Patricia’s memory are her children: Scott Voyles of Scottsdale, Ariz.; Rexann (Jim) McEnroe of Algona; and Mike Paul of LaCrosse, Wis.; six grandchildren, Melissa, Jason, Megan, Chad, Jaime and Stephanie; and 11 great-grandchildren, Anthony, Andre, MacKenzie, Kendall, Landon, Amelia, Caden, Aida, Madison, Morgan and Mack.
Her parents; husband; a son, Stephen Voyles; a daughter-in-law, Beth Paul; and two sisters, Jo Ann Fredrickson and Shirley McDonald, preceded her in death.
The Lentz Funeral Home in Algona served the family. Memorials may be made in Patricia’s name and directed to the First United Methodist Church in Algona. Condolences may be left at www.lentzfuneralhome.com
