Nathan Richard Wadsley, son of the late Richard Wadsley and Deborah (Torrence) Wadsley, was born on Sept. 7, 1985 in Sac City.
Nathan was a graduate of Schaller Crestland High School and continued his education at both NIACC and Iowa Lakes.
Nate worked many years in the Wind Tech Industry and most recently received CDL. He enjoyed driving truck and someday hoped to own his own.

WHITTEMORE — James Baumann, age 65, of Whittemore, passed away on June 13, 2017 at his home. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, June 17, at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery in Whittemore, with Rev. Ed Girres celebrating.  
James Michael Baumann, the son of John D. And Agnes E. (Wiltgen) Baumann, was born on Sept. 29, 1951 in Algona. He graduated from Algona High School in 1970. 

ALGONA — Eugene Swenson, age 87 of Algona, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017, at the Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona. 
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at 11 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church in Algona with Rev. Tom Schlund officiating. Burial took place at West Cemetery in Rake. Visitation was held on Tuesday from 10 a.m., until the time of the service at Trinity Lutheran Church in Algona.

ALGONA — Marabeth Ostwald, age 88, of Algona and formerly of Whittemore, passed away on June 2, 2017 at the Algona Good Samaritan Care Center.  Memorial services will be Saturday, June 10, at 2 p.m., at the First United Congregational Church of Christ in Algona, with the Rev. Chris Bartnett officiating.  Visitation will follow the service until 5 p.m., at the church.

Betty Jean Miller, 87 of Burt, died Monday May 22, 2017, with her family beside her at the Kossuth Regional Health Center, Algona.
Funeral services were held on May 26, 2017, at the Presbyterian Church in Burt, with the Rev. Judy Junkermeier officiating.  Visitation was held on Thursday, also at the church.  Interment was held in the Burt Township Cemetery.

June Rae Steward was born on May 7, 1940 in Burt, the daughter of Harold and Lottie (Hawcott). June attended LifeWorks Community Services for many years and worked for Friendship Haven for 15 years as a dishwasher. June loved working and was not fond of retirement. She continued to attend LifeWorks connections program.
