Pamella Lou was born April 8, 1950, in Estherville the daughter of Howard and Betty L. (Klein) Tippie. She graduated from Sentral High School, Fenton in 1968, and went on to earn a Cosmetology degree at LaJames in Mason City.

On June 7, 1969, she married Jeffrey L. Carrott of Mason City at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fenton. The couple was blessed with four children, Jennifer, Sara, (Charles) Ryan and Victoria. For many years she owned and operated Cover to Cover, a book store in Central Heights, Mason City.

Pame was a loving and devoted mother and relished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed fishing and camping with the family, often with Sharon and Larry Bailey and their kids. Playing cards was a favorite pastime, whether this was 500 with the Baileys, 21 with her Grandmother Alga Klein or pass-the-card with the whole extended family. She enjoyed being in a bowling league with her husband Jeff and her in-laws Sharon and Larry Bailey.

Pame loved sewing, making clothes for her family and friends; one year making onesie pajamas for her children. She had a green thumb, having a house filled with many plants and was an avid gardener, growing most of the family’s vegetables in her younger years. She had a grandmother and mother that were fabulous cooks who passed that knack down to her so she was often requested to make one of her amazing soups for family gatherings or Sunday meals. Pame had a voracious appetite for reading, sometimes consuming a book a day. She loved having pets in her life and some special ones were her first puppy Patches, Dinky the cat, Patches II her Bichon, her poodle mix Sophie and her grand puppy Phoebe.

Surviving are her four children; Jennifer Carrott, of Indianapolis, Ind., Sara Finck and Tori Carrott, of Mason City, and (Charles) Ryan Carrott, of Spencer; grandchildren, Emery Trejo, Zachary and Taylor Adams, Jonathan Finck, Lynden Schumacher, and soon to be born, Pyper Lynn Carrott; great-grandchildren, Mark Torres Jr., Faith Adams and Ofelia LouElla Lynn Torres; siblings, Dennis Tippie of Glendale, Ariz., Charles “Chuck” Tippie and his wife Paula of Emmetsburg; sister-in-law, Sharon (Larry) Bailey of Terre Haute, Ind.; sister-in-law, Virginia (Michael “Buck”) Carrott of Clear Lake; as well as many other relatives and cherished friends.
