He generously shared the love of land with his son. For a quarter of a century, Jim cultivated not just sweet corn but a tradition of generosity. His dedication to growing sweet corn was surpassed only by his commitment to community  as he selflessly donated his harvest to the First United Methodist Church’s pork chop supper.

Jim was a passionate soul who found joy in the simplicity of life. His love for farming old machinery, capturing moments through photography, casting lines in serene waters and sharing laughter over a game of pool will forever be cherished by those who knew him.
