Algona Community School District Superintendent Joe Carter’s contract with the district has been extended for three more years.

The Algona Community Schools Board of Education unanimously approved the new contract at its June 10 meeting with Carter  who just completed his fifth year with the district. Prior to the approval, the board held a closed session meeting to review his performance.
