ALGONA ­– A funeral service with military honors following will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016, at Oakcrest Funeral Services, Algona. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016, at Oakcrest Funeral Services, Algona.
Johnny Lee White, 55, of Algona, died on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, as a result of a motorcycle accident.
Johnny Lee White was born on Nov. 16, 1960, to Lee and Caroline (Von Bank) White, in Fort Belvoir, Va.  Johnny is a graduate of Algona High School, class of 1979.  Following high school, Johnny enlisted into the United States Army and was discharged in 1983. During his time in the service, he was stationed in Germany and Fort Riley, Kansas. After returning from the Army he continued his education in the automotive technician program at Iowa Lakes Community College. For the past four years, Johnny has worked at Algona Machine.
Johnny was always fun spirited and enjoyed life. He loved his grandchildren very much. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, working on cars and happy hour. Johnny was also an avid outdoorsman, traveling to Georgia to hunt deer and he went fishing anywhere he could.
Johnny is survived by his children, Tasha (Clint) Ludwig of Algona, Nikki (Christian) Schneider of Spirit Lake, Dustin White of Des Moines and Jamie (Damon) O’Neall of Algona; grandchildren, Ashley, Jagger, Tehya, Javelin, Ella, Veda and Myles; parents, Lee (Charlotte) White; brothers, Robert (Chris) White and Christopher White; step-brother, Michael (Ginger) Steele; step-sisters, Monica White and Lori (Spencer) Sampson; as well as several aunts, uncles and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jane Caroline (VonBank) White and an uncle, Robert White.
