COVID-19 and collective grief

Are we all getting tired of hearing about COVID-19? Maybe. This pandemic has certainly brought waves of change in a relatively short period of time. We are all feeling those effects, trying to keep up with each new wave and bit of information that comes our way, and the behavior changes they require. And we are all dealing with grief and loss as a result. 
Perhaps we have not experienced loss due to death (though some certainly have, enduring through that experience without our usual gatherings), but we are all enduring a collective loss of our “normal” experiences, our sense of safety, social connection methods, and even financial security. This takes a toll on us, emotionally and psychologically, especially given the uncertainty of when this might all return to “normal.”
