Arleta M. Bunkofske Burlingame, age 100, of Algona, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016, at the Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona. 
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, at 10:30 a.m., at Faith Assembly of God Church in Algona with Pastors Rob and Anna Thoreson officiating. Burial took place at Burt Township Cemetery in Burt. Visitation will be held on Monday from 5-7 p.m., at Faith Assembly of God Church in Algona.     
Arleta Mae Bunkofske Burlingame, the daughter of Ira and Mary Elizabeth (Elmore) Bonnett, was born on June 2, 1916, in Lucas. She attended country schools. On Dec. 13, 1938, Arleta was married to Elmer Bunkofske in Cylinder. Arleta was an amazing wife and mother. On Nov. 17, 1992, she was married to Milton Burlingame.
She was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church. Arleta loved to spend time in the kitchen baking and cooking, reading Reader’s Digest, completing word find puzzles and paint by number paintings and embroidering. 
Left to cherish Arleta’s memory are her children: Larry (Diana) Bunkofske of Burt and David (Linda) Bunkofske of Burt; grandchildren: Jim (Cindy) Heerdt of Littleton, Colo., Janelle (Lindsey) Moe of Algona, Rick Bunkofske of Sidney, Neb., Laura (Jason) Thompson of Northwood and Paul (Tammy) Bunkofske of Urbandale; five great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Loretta Bonnett and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Elmer Bunkofske and Milton Burlingame; daughter, Ruth Heerdt; son-in-law, Eugene Heerdt; grandson, Alan Bunkofske; great grandson, Jacob Dralla; brother, Robert Bonnett; sister, Dorthey Petersen and brother-in-law, Orie Peterson.
