Bert Glossen, age 50 of Dakota City, passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at the Paula Baber Hospice House in Fort Dodge. Public Visitation was held on Sunday, March 28, 2021, 2-4 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Humboldt. Private family memorial services were held on Sunday at 4 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Humboldt. Burial will take place at a later date.

Harlan “Harley” Haas of Algona, age 88, died peacefully on Saturday, March 27, 2021, at the Good Samaritan Center in Algona. Harley was a unique and caring man who touched the lives of all he knew. To those that knew him best, he was determined, resourceful and always armed with a witty comeback.

Mary Susan “Sue” (Eason) Ogland, 86, died peacefully on March 16, 2021, surrounded by family. She was born in Lu Verne to A. J. “Doc” Eason, DDS and Frances Antonia (Slikkerveer) Eason. Sue and her older sister Marjorie were raised in Algona. She enjoyed many life experiences with her childhood friends and in their adulthood, they referred to themselves as “The Algona Girls.”

Robert F. Lorenz age 95, Loveland, Colo., passed away peacefully at his home on March 11, 2021, at 11:35 a.m. A memorial service will be held at a later date at King of Glory Lutheran Church, Loveland, Colo. 
Robert F. Lorenz was born June 26, 1925, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Davenport, to Louis E. and Frances (Moravek) Lorenz. He was united in marriage to Roberta Lou (Kaufmann) in Oelwein, in 1956. Roberta passed away on Sept. 30, 2016.

 Verna Wagner, age 98 of Litchfield died on Saturday, March 20, 2021. Burial was in Algona on Tuesday, March 30.

A funeral service for Judith Van Hove was held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 25, at Ramsey Reformed Church, Titonka. Visitation was one hour prior to the service. Gary L. West, 75, of Mason City passed away March 4, 2021, at the Good Shepherd Health Center in Mason City.
A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 24, at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St. NE, Mason City, IA. Visitation was one hour prior to the funeral at the chapel. Gary will be laid to rest at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery in Mason City.

Bruce Krug, age 67, of Titonka, passed away on March 11, 2021 at his home. Celebration of life will be held at Call State Park Saturday, May 1, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., for friends and family. Graveside services will be in the West Bend Cemetery at later date.
