A funeral service for Donna Hanson, 78 from Algona, will be held Aug. 5, at 10:30 a.m. at Burt Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Algona. Her family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. 
Donna Kay Hanson was born Sept. 16, 1942, in Algona, daughter of Michael and Ruth (Campbell) Long. She grew up in Burt, graduating from Burt High School in 1960.

William Bland Meister was born to Bernard and Thelma (Cox) Meister in Carroll on Sept. 1, 1941. Growing up he attended school at Portland Township Country School and attended and graduated from Burt in 1960.

Mary E. Neith, age 82 of Channahon, Ill., and formerly Savannah, Ga., and Waterloo, Iowa, passed peacefully in her sleep Tuesday morning, July 27, 2021.
She was born June 17, 1939, in Dubuque, Iowa, to the late Leola Cole and James Wolbers and was raised in Waterloo. Mary graduated with the class of 1957 from East Waterloo High School. She married Jerry Neith on Oct. 12, 1957, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, July 19, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Emmetsburg. Celebrant was Rev. Bill Schreiber. Interment was at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Emmetsburg.

James Francis Hurlburt, son of Alfred and Marjorie (Tucker) Hurlburt, was born on Nov. 27, 1938 in Alliance, Neb. He passed away on July 11, 2021 at Mayo Health Systems- Mankato, at the age of 82 years.

Anna Marie (Berte) Von Bank was born on Nov. 15, 1928, in St. Joe, the daughter of Charles and Anna (Freilinger) Berte. She grew up in St. Joe and graduated from St. Joseph High School. 
On Feb. 1, 1950, she married Cletus Peter Streit at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. In 1952, they moved to a farm near St. Joe. Together they had five children. Cletus was killed in a car accident on Oct. 10, 1959.

Nancy Kay (Johannsen) Boyer passed away on Friday, Dec. 20, 2019 at SunnyBrook Assisted Living Center in Carroll. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 31, 2021, at the Urbandale Church of Christ. Burial will take place at McDivitt Cemetery.
