Terry Cook, age 77 of Burt, passed away Sept. 16, 2021, at Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona. Visitation was held on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Burt Activity Complex. Burial will take place in Burt Township Cemetery at a later date with military rights conducted by the Iowa Army National Guard Honor Detail and the Burt VFW.

Mark Alan Schuster of Phoenix, Ariz., passed away Friday, Aug. 27, 2021, at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center, Glendale, Ariz., due to ongoing cardiac complications. He was 61.

 Evon Meyer, age 88, of Algona passed away on Sept. 11, 2021, at Algona Manor Care Center. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. on Sept. 22 at the Lentz Funeral Home in Algona. 
 Evon June Meyer, the daughter of Arthur and Hulga (Jensen) Price was born on April 25, 1933 in Hersey, Wis.

Kenneth William Roeber, 76, Mesa, Ariz., passed away on Sept. 10, 2021.
 Kenneth William Roeber was born on October 12, 1944, in Whittemore, the oldest child of Wilbur and Vera (Dau) Roeber. 
Ken married Barbra Jane Kingsriter on Sept. 27, 1969 in Paynesville, Minn.
 He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from 1965-1967.

Donald “Briggs” James Carroll, the son of Dennis and Wilhelmina “Billie” (Arndorfer) Carroll, was born in Lu Verne, on Sept.  5, 1940. He grew up in Lu Verne, graduating from Lu Verne High School in 1959.

Dema Janssen, age 94 of Algona, passed away Sept. 10, 2021, at the Good Samaritan Care Center in Algona. Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 11 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church in Algona. Services were livestreamed on the Trinity Lutheran Church’s YouTube page. Burial took place in Evergreen Cemetery in Emmetsburg. Visitation was at 9 a.m. on Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Algona.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 10, 2021, at Divine Mercy Parish - St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Algona. It will be livestreamed on Divine Mercy’s YouTube Page. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Linda Nelson, 73, of rural Wesley, died Aug. 31, 2021, at Mercy Hospital, Mason City. A funeral service was held on Sept. 4 at Oakcrest Funeral Services in Algona. Interment was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Wesley.
Linda Lou Thompson was born to Vanda Cecelia (Gollner) and Elmer Thompson on Friday, Aug. 13, 1948, at the Kossuth Hospital, Algona.

A private family funeral mass was held on Sept. 7, 2021, at Divine Mercy Parish - St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wesley. A public visitation was held 3-5 p.m. on Sept. 6, at Oakcrest Funeral Services, Wesley.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Catholic Relief Services in Anita’s name.

William A. “Bill” Kennedy was the son of Ambrose and Rose (Brink) Kennedy. He was born and lived in Bancroft his entire life, except during his college years and his time spent serving in the Korean War.
