LU VERNE — Jolene Wilhelm, age 86, of LuVerne, passed away on March 30, 2018, at the Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona.
Funeral services were held on Monday, April 2, 2018, at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lu Verne at 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. Steve Struecker officiating. Burial took place at the Lu Verne Cemetery. Visitation was held on Sunday, 4-7 p.m.,  at Zion Lutheran Church in Lu Verne.

A memorial service for John F. Cady was held on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at Bethany Evangelical & Reformed Church in Ledyard, with the Rev. Samuel Belz officiating. Burial was in Highland Home Cemetery, Ledyard, with military honors conducted.
John Freeman Cady, 80, of Blue Earth, Minn., died Thursday, March 22, 2018, at Mayo Hospital in Mankato, Minn.

A memorial service for Martha Jo Austin “Eggum” Meyer, 76, Yates City, Ill., will be held at 11 a.m., April 28, 2018, at Community Chapel in Lakota. Internment will be held at the Lakota Iowa Cemetery.
Martha was born July 9, 1941, in Des Moines, Her parents were Douglas Austin, John Eggum, and Barbara Anne Russell. She married Wilhelm (Willie) H. Meyer on March 30, 1963, at Buffalo Center Baptist Church.

Kossuth County native Carmilla Mae Fraser Marbaugh passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018, in her Georgia home at age 103. She was born on a farm south of Algona.
When once asked the secret of her longevity, she replied, “Good genes, good family, good food, pills and luck.” Carm was respected by all as a loving, compassionate, sunny person.

LAKOTA — Lloyd Karen Janssen was born at the family farmhouse in Lincoln Township, Iowa May 13, 1940, to Ronie and Mary (Johnson) Janssen. He passed away Feb. 25, 2018, at the age of 77.
