Olivia Bachman, age 17 of Whittemore, passed away Sunday, Aug. 26, 2018. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Congregational United Church of Christ with Rev. Chris Burtnett officiating. Burial will take place in the Plainview Township Cemetery in Whittemore. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the First Congregational United Church of Christ.

Belva E. Wilson, age 82, of Cresco passed peacefully into the arms of our Lord on Friday, Aug. 24, at Regional Health Services of Howard County in Cresco.

Doris Leeck was born on February 14, 1939, in rural Titonka to Charles and Fredericka (Loeschen) Hipp.  She graduated from Titonka High School in 1956.  Doris attended college at Wartburg College and graduated with degrees in Education and Music.

Janice Faye Barton, 79, of Bella Vista, AR, passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Highland Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Bella Vista, AR.  She was born on January 31, 1939 to Leone and John Intermill.
 
She grew up in Titonka, IA and graduated high school there in 1958.  She married Ronald Barton on November 23, 1963.

CAINSVILLE, MO — Richard T. “Skinny” McGuire, 74, Cainsville, Mo. (formerly of Bode, Ia.) passed away Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018 at a North Kansas City hospice facility.
   He was born on March 8, 1944 in Whittemore, Ia. the son of Mark T. and Florence P. (Voit) McGuire.
   On Nov. 29, 1968, he married Rosa Lee Illg at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bode, Ia. She survives of the home.

FENTON - Tracey Block, age 53, of Fenton, passed away on Aug. 14, 2018, at her home. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18, at the United Methodist Church in Fenton. Visitation was held 4-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, at the Lentz Funeral Home in Algona.

Donna Marie (Wood) Broesder was born on Sept. 9, 1939, in Humboldt County, the daughter of Leo and Esther (Hauck) Wood. She grew up in Whittemore, graduating from Whittemore High School in 1957.

WHITTEMORE — Mary Margaret Carberry was born in Jan. 3, 1920, in Springfield, Ill. to Thomas and Margaret Carberry, the oldest of five children. She passed away Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018, at Good Samaritan Center in Algona, where she lived for the past 14 years. She was 98 years young.
