ST. BENEDICT — A funeral Mass for Kenneth Grein, 88, of St. Benedict, will be held today (Thursday) at 10:30 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wesley. Burial will be in St. Benedict Catholic Cemetery with Military Honors conducted.

A visitation was held in Las Vegas on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018, for Sebastian Marino. Seb was then flown to Chicago, where he then made his final journey to Titonka.
A graveside service was scheduled for 2 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Good Hope Lutheran Cemetery in Titonka, with the Rev. Kim Peterson officiating. His family greeted friends one hour prior to the service at Oakcrest Funeral Services of Titonka.

MASON CITY — Paul J Grandgenett passed away at the Hospice of North Iowa in Mason City on Sept. 22, 2018, at the age of 81. His greatest joy was being with his wife, children and 16 grandchildren.

BRITT — Randy Fangman, 61, of Britt passed away Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018 at Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 139 3rd Street South East in Britt with Father Jim Dubert officiating. Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

ALGONA — Nancy resided at Eastland Park Senior Apartments in Algona for 30 years before moving to the West Bend Care Center in November of 2017. Nancy passed away at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit of North Iowa in Mason City.

Bonnie Mae Bell was born Aug. 14, 1929 to Thomas and Matilda (Baas) Ketelsen in West Bend, Iowa where she grew up and graduated from high school in 1946. After high school she remained on the family farm helping her father, then worked part time at the AFC office.

 
Aug. 17, 1930 — Sept. 7, 2018
TITONKA — Leonard Leeck was born Aug. 17, 1930, in rural Titonka to Bennie and Elizabeth (Pfeffer) Leeck. He graduated from Titonka High School in 1948. After graduation, Leonard served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War.
Leonard married Doris J. (Hipp) Leeck on Aug. 18, 1960, at Good Hope Lutheran Church in Titonka. He and Doris then moved to rural Woden, where they farmed for the next fifty plus years.

BRITT — Kathie Leann Gray Price, of Britt, died peacefully at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital at the age of 61.  She was surrounded by her family.
Kathie was born on September 20, 1956 in Atlantic, Iowa to Gary and Marlene Gray.  She graduated from Britt High School in 1974. She married John Price in 1980, and they were married for 38 years.  

ALGONA — A funeral mass for Wilbur Courtney is being held on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Algona with Father Edward M. Girres and Reverend Mr. William Black officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Algona VFW and American Legion.

ALGONA — John Roeder, age 75 of Algona, passed away Friday, Aug. 30, 2018, at the Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona.

Olivia Bachman, age 17 of Whittemore, passed away Sunday, Aug. 26, 2018. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Congregational United Church of Christ with Rev. Chris Burtnett officiating. Burial will take place in the Plainview Township Cemetery in Whittemore. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the First Congregational United Church of Christ.

BODE — Caroline Bormann, age 97 of Bode, passed away Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, at her home. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Aug. 31, 2018, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joe with Rev. Merle Kollasch celebrating.
