Robert Wille

TITONKA — A funeral service for Robert E. Wille will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018, at 11 a.m., at Good Hope Lutheran Church, Titonka with Rev. S. Kim Peterson officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service, starting at 9:30 a.m.

Robert Edward "Bob" Wille, son of Richard and Bertha (Wagner) Wille, was born May 7, 1922, on the family farm near Cross Plains, Wis. He attended a one-room country school. By 1936 his formal education was over and he and his older brother took over the family farm.

On Oct. 8, 1955, Bob married Helen Baehler at Grace Evangelical Church in Madison, Wis. Bob and Helen moved to Madison, where they made their home and raised their two daughters. Bob worked as a custodian for the Madison Public Schools, first at Frank Allis and later at Herbert Schenk Elementary Schools, until his retirement in 1987. Bob and Helen enjoyed dancing, playing cards, traveling and spending time with their family. He was a hard worker, and in his free time could be found working on something in the garage, the basement, or in the garden. In 1994 Bob and Helen moved to Titonka to be near family. In 2011, Bob moved to Huskamp Haven in Algona, and in October 2013, to Good Samaritan Society, Algona.

Bob was a past member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Madison, Wis., and was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church in Titonka.

Robert E. Wille died Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at the Good Samaritan Society, Algona.

Bob is survived by his daughters, Suzanne and her husband Gregory Huebner of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Karen Hamilton of Titonka. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Sara (Byron) Light, Amado, Ariz., Daniel (Monica) Huebner, Woodland Park, Colo., Elizabeth Anderson, Colorado Springs, Colo., Jacob (Haley) Hamilton of East Grand Forks, Minn., Zachary Hamilton, Saint Paul, Minn., and Nathan (Amy) Hamilton, Titonka; and nine great grandchildren, Socorra Smith, Matilda, Remy, and Helen Light, Zander and Kane Huebner, Savannah and Wyatt Anderson, and Madison Hamilton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen, his brother Ernest Wille, sisters Augusta Young and Anna Sanftleben, and son-in-law, John Hamilton.
