Bancroft news

Future dates for the Bancroft bingo night are April 25, May 9 and 23 at the Summit Center. Supper will be available for purchase and the Bancroft firemen will have the bar open.

This fundraising event will support the Bancroft Fire department and the Bancroft Community Foundation (BCF).

Council discussed city involvement with main street beautification at their last meeting and encourage all residents to attend the next meeting set for May 5 at 7 p.m. at the Wesley Community Center to plan and discuss improvements and changes to the Community Club funds and events.

I’m not writing about pneumonia again. I promise.

Okay, here’s what I’m not going to write about today:

Pneumonia. I won’t bore you with the fact that it came back for an encore just one week after its first engagement. I won’t write about that because reading about other people’s illnesses is about as fascinating as reading about - oh, I don’t know - your cousin’s neighbor’s hangnail. Besides, I wrote all about my first round a few weeks ago.
