BRITT — Kathie Leann Gray Price, of Britt, died peacefully at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital at the age of 61. She was surrounded by her family.
Kathie was born on September 20, 1956 in Atlantic, Iowa to Gary and Marlene Gray. She graduated from Britt High School in 1974. She married John Price in 1980, and they were married for 38 years.
She farmed with John in the Stilson area and also worked in the cafeteria at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital for many years. She enjoyed spending time with family, playing pool and cards, and going to garage sales.
Kathie is survived by her husband, John; parents, Marlene and Gary Gray; siblings, Michael Gray and Mitzi (Wayne) Chizek; step-daughter, Mindy (Gary) Weeks and step-grandchildren. Makayla (Isaiah) Morris and Owen Weeks; nephew and nieces, Jason (Jessie) Chizek, Amanda (Chad) Sturgeon, Kelley Gray and Jessica Gray; and great-nephews, Kamrin Chizek, and Tyler, Asher, and Dominic Sturgeon.
There are no services planned. Memorials can be sent to Hospice of the Heartland.
