Olivia Bachman, age 17 of Whittemore, passed away Sunday, Aug. 26, 2018. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Congregational United Church of Christ with Rev. Chris Burtnett officiating. Burial will take place in the Plainview Township Cemetery in Whittemore. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the First Congregational United Church of Christ. 
   Olivia Rae Bachman was born to Scott and Misty (Marine) Bachman on July 30, 2001 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She attended Algona High School. Olivia was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, the Algona High School Choir, Yearbook Staff and Talented and Gifted students. She participated in musicals, volleyball and softball and received honors in math and science. Olivia was an intern at the Algona Public Library and was also a People to People Student Ambassador traveling to Great Britain. She loved to travel and had the opportunity to travel to Ireland, Whales, Scotland and New York City. In Olivia’s spare time, she loved to read, especially the Harry Potter series, watching and quoting movies, swimming and playing and cheating at card games. She was a fun loving, free spirited young lady who was always helping others who were less fortunate.
   Left to cherish Olivia’s memory are her mother, Misty Bachman of Whittemore; father, Scott Bachman of Humboldt; brother, Carter Bachman of Whittemore; grandparents, Don and Becky Marine of Algona; grandmother, Vicki Bachman of Pomeroy; great grandmother, Doris “GG” Davis of Manson and aunts and uncles, Richard (Angela) Cother of Burt, Scott (Jennifer) Marine of Byron, MN and their children, Jaxon and Sydney, Daniel Bachman of Palmer, Amy (Jason) Stampka of Webster City and their daughter, Chloe and Ashley Winters of Pomeroy. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Ron Bachman.
