The Rite of Christian Burial for Anita (Bonnie Brogan) Germann, age 94, was celebrated by the Rev. Edward Girres at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Whittemore on Thursday, July 19, 2018. Burial was in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery in Whittemore. 
Bonnie, daughter of A.D. and Laura (Schmitt) Brogan was born April 13, 1924, in Meservey. She graduated from Presentation Academy in 1941 at Whittemore and married DuWayne (Jug) Germann at Whittemore on April 12, 1948. They lived most of their lives in Whittemore and four years in Fenton. Bonnie then moved to Ames in May of 1992.
She was a member of St. Michael’s Rosary Society of Whittemore, the Whittemore Golf Club, Seneca, West Bend, and Algona Saddle Clubs.
In Ames she was a member of St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church and St. Cecilia CCW and was the funeral chairperson for St. Mary’s Circle. She was also a member of Actors and the Women’s Moose Club.
Bonnie passed on Sunday, July 15, 2018, at the West Bend Rehabilitation Center.
Bonnie is survived by three daughters, Jean (Lynn) Rahfeldt of Ames, Jane Germann of Newnan, Georgia, and Joyce (Dave) Wagner of Whittemore. There are three grandchildren and one step-granddaughter, Bob Rahfeldt of Iowa City, Bryan (Suzanne) Rahfeldt of Clive and Sara (Chris) Harlan of Urbandale, and Chrystal Thompson of Mason City. Great-grandchildren are, Lucie, Corbin and Charlotte Harlan, Zack, Lillie and Libby Rahfeldt, Knox Rahfeldt and Annika Wagner.
