TITONKA — A Celebration of Dora’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, July 2, 2018, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Titonka with visitation an hour prior. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
It is with sadness that the family of Dora Anna Rode announces her passing, on June 20, 2018, at the age of 92. Dora was born to William and Louise Planz on June 11, 1926, in Unionville, Mich. She married Forrest F. Rode on June 14, 1944. Dora is remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed cooking and gardening.
She is survived by her sons, Forrest, Jr. of Seattle, Wash., Alfred W. of Tucson, Ariz. and Paul A. (Kris) of Ankeny; five grandchildren, Mark Rode, David (Christina) Rode, Tara (Kyle) Johnson, Jill (Gretchen) Rode and Renee (Tyler) Roth; 11 great-grandchildren, sister, Lillian (Howard) Rand and brother, John (Elsie) Planz.
Dora is preceded in death by her husband, Forrest; parents, William and Louise Planz; brothers, Hugo (Ruth) Planz, Billie Planz and Georgie Planz.
