Shirley Ann (Ringsdorf) Smith, 71, of Fulshear, Texas, died at home on Friday, April 21, 2018.
Her body was cremated.
Shirley was born April 5, 1947, at Burt, daughter of Maurice and Lillian (Godfredson) Ringsdorf. She married Peter V. Smith at Madison, Wis., on April 7, 1973.
She graduated from high school in Algona in 1966, then earned a B.A. degree in anthropology from the University of Iowa in 1970. She smept a summer at the University of Wisconsin, learning Yoruba under a U.S. State Department program. She was a homemaker, wife, and mother.
Besides her husband, other survivors include daughters Ginger (Philip) Carls of San Carlos, Calif., and Crystal (Matthew) Smith-Spangler of Sunnyvale, Calif.; sisters Bonnie Zittritsch and Sharon Eldert; and three grandchildren. Her parents preceded her in death.
