ALGONA – Emily (Eimers) Moser and Annie (Klepper) Neubauer began running races together when they were attending Algona High School. Their love of running continued in college, continued after both were married, and last week continued on the historic streets of Boston in that city's famous marathon.
"Emily and I have remained best friends since high school and we always dreamed of running the Boston Marathon together," Annie said. "We decided to make our dream a reality last year and both of our spouses were also interested in making the trip to Boston. We have been referring our trip to Boston for the marathon as the ultimate double date."
What they didn't anticipate during their training was the type of weather conditions they would race in running 26.2 miles
