Bulldogs improve to 6-2 in NCC play

Lead Summary

The biggest strength of the Algona boys’ basketball program under the guidance of Head Coach Noel McLaughlin is the squads’ strong defensive play.
On Friday, Jan. 19 at home, that defense was solid as ever as the red-and-black avenged a loss earlier in the season at Webster City by defeating the Lynx by the score of 44-31, limiting the visitors to just 19 points the final three quarters.
The Bulldogs improved to 7-7 overall with its fourth straight victory and now sits at 6-2 in the North Central Conference, all alone in second place while Webster City fell to 8-4 overall and is now 5-3 in the league.
