Lead Summary
Scoring early and often with some hot shooting from the perimeter, the Bishop Garrigan Golden Bear boys’ basketball team earned a 95-71 Top of Iowa Conference victory over the West Hancock Eagles.
The black-and-gold came out on fire with the inside presence of T.J. Schnurr along with some outside sniping from guards Brad Capesius and John Joyce to build a 26-19 advantage at the conclusion of the first stanza.
The home team did not slow down in the second quarter as the squad continued to shoot well and enjoyed a comfortable 53-31 cushion as the two squads headed into the locker room at intermission.
